The first place Laxmi Narayan Temple
Laxmi Narayan Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, is one of Delhi's major temples and a major tourist attraction. Built by the industrialst G.D. Birla in 1938, this beautiful temple is located in the west of Connaught Place.
The Temple is dedicated to Laxmi (the goddess of prosperity) and Narayana (The preserver). The temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi on the condition that people of all castes will be allowed to enter the temple.

Next place to visit Indri Gandhi Memorial Museum
Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum is a window into life of our legendary leader, Indira Gandhi. The former residence of Indira Gandhi has been transformed into a mesmerizing museum, displaying artifacts, photos and newspaper clippings, as well as personal belongings, including the blood-stained sari she was wearing when she was assassinated on 31st October, 1984. A collection of rare photographs of the National movement, the personal moments of the Nehru-Gandhi family and her childhood photographs with the Mahatma are on display. Interesting facts: The museum also contains burnt clothes of Rajeev Gandhi which he was wearing at the time of his assassination. Dried blood spots are preserved enclosed in a glass frame at the spot of assassination.

Nehru Museum Walk through the life our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru with the help of many precious moments captured on camera and original manuscripts. The Nehru Memorial Museum established in the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru (1889 - 1964) is located in the majestic Teen Murti House. It has four major constituents namely, a Memorial Museum , a Library on modern India , a Centre for Contemporary Studies and a Planetarium. Nehru's bedroom, the drawing-room and study have been preserved the way they were in used. The Nehru Planetarium gives an overview of the Indian Space Programme through interesting shows.

Safdarjung's tomb is set ina beautiful garden; criss- crossed by water channels. Built in 1754 for the prime minister of Emperor Mohammed shah; the tomb itself with ornate Carvings & an imposing mughal dome; is worth a visit.

Qutab minar a soaring stone tower, 72 metres high was built By qutab-ud-din aibak in 1193. The tower has five distinct storeys, each with a projecting balcony the base of the minar [tower] is 15m in Diameter and the top just 2.5m in diameter, an amazing piece Of work at its base is the quwwat-ul islam mosque, the first Mosque to be built in India. A 7m high iron pillar (4th century) stands in The courtyard of the mosque.
