This morning after breakfast drive to Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5486 Mtrs.). While ascending Changlla pass. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to thee western shore of the Lake. After lunch at your hotel we leave for a tour of the Shanti Stupa, Built by Japanese Buddhists this Peace Pagoda is a beautiful structure with gilt panels on its sides that display episodes from the life of Buddha. It was inaugurated in 1983 by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. We then drive to the Sankar Monastery that is surrounded by forests and barley fields that rise in terraces along the hillside. The oldest structure in Lamayuru is the Singey Lhakhang built by the founder of Alchi Lotsava Rinchen bzangpo in 11th century. The world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of pleasure’ built in 16PthP century (1633) by Mughal Emperor Asif Khan. Then visiting Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16PthP century (1619) by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan or (Mehr-un-Nissa) The Chasm Shahi Garden and then pay visit to the famous Shankaracharya Temple situated on top of Hill where you can have a look of the whole Srinagar City.
